Information you provide

When you submit the consultation form or contact us directly, we may collect:

• Contact details, such as your name, work email address, and phone number if you provide it.
• Professional details, such as your company name and role.
• Inquiry details, including your website URL, the topic you select, your message, and any information you include in follow-up communications.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card information, Social Security numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal information through the contact form.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our web hosting and security infrastructure may automatically receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, date and time of a request, and diagnostic or security event data. We use this information to deliver, troubleshoot, and protect the site.

Sources of information

We collect personal information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device when you use the site, and from service providers that help us operate and secure the site.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, and communicate with you.

We do not use information from the consultation form to enroll you in an automated marketing campaign.

We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or process it for targeted advertising. We do not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects through automated profiling.

4. Cookies and tracking

We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, pixels, or other technologies designed to track your activity across unaffiliated websites. Our hosting infrastructure may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to deliver and secure the site.

Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is no sale or targeted-advertising activity to opt out of. For the same reason, browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control do not change how this site operates. We also do not respond differently to “Do Not Track” signals, for which there is no uniform industry standard.

5. How long we keep information

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The period depends on the nature of the information, whether an inquiry becomes a client relationship, our recordkeeping needs, and applicable legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, unless retention is required by law.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Confirm whether we process your personal information and access it.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Delete personal information.
• Receive a portable copy of personal information you provided.
• Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.

As explained above, we do not currently sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or conduct covered profiling. To make another privacy request, email hello@itbonsai.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it. If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we may ask for proof of authorization and, where permitted, confirmation from you.

If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. Colorado residents may also contact the Colorado Attorney General .

8. Children’s privacy

This site and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. International visitors

IT Bonsai is based in the United States. If you visit the site from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other places where our service providers operate. Those places may have data-protection laws different from those in your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices, services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised version here and change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
